Ports, Authority consults on access to infrastructure

Deadline for comments submission is February 2.
20180109_2.jpgThe Transportation Regulatory Authority (Autorità di Regolazione dei Trasporti) has launched a public consultation to establish first measures that ensure “equal and non-discriminatory access to port infrastructure.” Deadline for comments submission is February 2 (pec@pec.autorita-trasporti.it).
The initial measures contained in the consulted draft regulation regard the concessions of port areas and docks, the permits to perform operations and provide port services, the development of incentive mechanisms related to ancillary costs and criteria of regulatory accounts to verify the charges for operations and port services that require the use of essential infrastructure.
In the framework of the consultation, the Authority has also scheduled a public hearing on February 8 which will take place at its head office in the quarter of Lingotto in Turin. The procedure will be completed by May.
