LNG for ships, new plant of Fluxys and Antwerp
Initiative of Belgian Port to render its activities more sustainable
Fluxys has taken over a concession to make a facility for LNG bunkering, which will be built by the end of 2019, at quay 526-528.
A message explains that the plant will enable ships and barges to bunker LNG in the scope of the initiative of the Antwerp Port Authority aimed to render the port’s activities more sustainable.
The new plant will complete the services of LNG bunkering for barges and small ships using tanker trucks (truck-to-ship) that Fluxys already offers in Antwerp, which the users can manage through an online platform.
