Gas trading, 8.1 bln m3 traded at PSV in April
62 bln m3 traded in the first 7 months of the thermal year of 2017-2018
After a cold wave which in March caused a significant increase in the gas trading, in April the volumes traded at PSV (Punto di scambio virtuale, Virtual Trading Point) got back to the seasonal average with 8,164.3 m m3, which was basically the same level as a year ago and 12.6% less than in the previous month.
Based on the usual data of Snam, in the first seven months of the thermal year of 2017-2018 at PSV 62,055.1 m m3 of gas were traded which was 9% more than 56,902.9 m m3 in the same period of the previous thermal year.
The number of transactions registered at PSV in March equaled 25,022 (25,096 a year ago and 30,622 last month), whereas the Churn rate (traded volumes/physical volumes) decreased to 2.7, with physical volumes traded of more than 3 bln m3.
