On June 9, the Official Journal published the decree transposing the Network and Information Security directive.
The provision pursues three main goals: to promote a culture of risk management and reporting on incidents among the main economic actors, particularly the operators who provide services essential to maintain the economic and social activities as well as the providers of digital services; to improve the national capacity of cybersecurity; to strengthen the cooperation at national and EU level.
The decree obliges to identify the companies that operate in sensitive sectors of providing daily life services for businesses and citizens. They include the companies which transport, supply and distribute energy.
The decree enters into force on June 22.
