A list of Italian cities that aim at methane in public transportation is getting longer. Their aim is to reduce emissions and improve the cities’ air quality.
On Thursday, APAM Mantua actually issued a tender notice in the Official Journal of the European Union for the supply of 3 lots of low-floor city buses (Class I) with methane power feeding and of the Euro 6 standard.
In further detail, the goal of the tender is the supply of 10 methane-fueled buses, of which 5 of normal type (from 10.3 to 11.300 meters), 3 of long type (11.8–12.2 m) and 2 of long type (11.8-12.2 m).
The total estimated value of the procurement is 2.5 million euros (net of IVA), and the deadline to submit the proposals is January 18, 2019.
