Heavy duty vehicles, Gruber Logistics aims at LNG

The South Tyrolean buys 10 trucks

“As a haulage company headquartered in the middle of the natural heritage of South Tyrol, the subject of sustainability in the transport sector is of course very important to us.” Chief Executive Officer of Gruber Logistics, Martin Gruber, declared this when commenting in a message the acquisition of 10 trucks Iveco Stralis NP 460 powered with LNG.
The choice of Gruber Logistics to convert part of its fleet to LNG, explains a message, falls, among others, within the context of the debate on the environment as a result of which the Assembly of Tirol is adopting some measures aimed to limit the impact of pollution from heavy duty vehicles at the Brenner pass. A series of traffic bans, which enters into force in August this year, actually provides for the exclusion of gas vehicles only.
“We are aware of our corporate responsibility towards future generations, but also because we believe that this type of transport can be an important added value for our customers,” pointed out Stefan Knapp, responsible for the fleet of Gruber Logistics.
