CNH Industrial, methane-powered dozer

Wheel loader Case is the first project of this type

Case Construction Equipment, a brand of CNH Industrial, has presented at the Bauma show in Munich (Germany) new details of the TETRA project, the concept of wheel loader fueled with methane, which - a message explains - “directs the sector of earthmoving equipment towards a future of sustainability, connection and advanced technologies.”
The concept has been developed by international teams of designers of CNH Industrial and Case, being an innovative idea compared to what the market has offered to date. The concept actually reflects the increasing importance of alternative fuels and shows their role in the sector of earthmoving equipment: the wheel loader is fueled by a highly reliable methane running on methane and produced by another brand of the group, FPT Industrial. It has also the same capacity of a similar diesel propulsion. In addition, the equipment features futuristic design and the state-of-the-art operating environment which makes broad use of touch screens and voice command technologies.
The innovative functions at the service of security include biometric technologies and an obstacle detection system.
Case has proved the feasibility of the concept through testing in an extensive range of real applications in the earthmoving sector, confirming its importance in terms of sustainability and low management costs, concludes the message.
