Hungary-Austria gas pipeline, green light to the market test

ACER approves the procedure of FGSZ and GCA Gas Connect Austria

tubi.jpgGreen light to the market test for the HUAT gas pipeline, the end segment of the BRUA conduit from Bulgaria to Austria via Romania and Hungary. ACER has actually approved the phase of binding commitments of the project of FGSZ and Gas Connect Austria (GCA, invested by Snam) for the capacity at the interconnection point of Mosonmagyaróvár between Hungary and Austria.
ACER reminds that in the summer of 2017, FGSZ and GCA conducted a market demand assessment receiving sufficient non-binding commitments to justify the continuation of the project.
Pursuant to the decision of ACER, for the economic test of the HUAT project, as of October 1, 2024, FGSZ and GCA will have to offer to different levels of entry capacity in Austria and exit capacity in Hungary: 5,740,470 kWh/h and 10,007,100 kWh/h.
