Public transport, Emilia Romagna aims at methane
TPER calls for tender worth €22.4 for 49 twelve-meter long buses
TPER is strongly committed to the renewal of its fleet with more sustainable vehicles. The public transport company of Emilia has actually issued a call for tender published in the Official Journal of the European Union. It refers to the supply of five 12-meter long buses, and other 35 optional ones with hybrid power feeding and endothermic engine fed with compressed natural gas.
The tender, of the estimated overall value of 22.4 million euros (net of VAT), includes the supply of spare parts for the vehicles acquired for a period of 14 years.
TPER, invested with a 46.13% stake by the Region of Emilia-Romagna, specifies in the invitation to tender that the first 5 buses must have 2 doors, whereas half of the 35 optional vehicles need to have 3 doors. All of them must be equipped with TH seat.
The deadline to submit the proposals has been set for September 9, 2019.
