Snam’s business ethics and governance explained at Salone del Risparmio
Snam’s best practices were presented at a conference organized by ETicaNews and TopLegal at Salone del Risparmio to discuss the Integrated Governance Index (IGI) with a view to socially responsible investment (SRI) opportunities.
The event also marked the occasion to discuss the index’s best cases of 2017, when Snam resulted as the best Italian company. Rozemaria Bala, Head of Governance & Corporate Affairs, spoke about the company’s experience at a round table attended by representatives of BMO Global Asset Management and the Dentons law firm, among others.
The first national observatory on the integration of sustainability in corporate strategies, the IGI provides useful insights on responsible investment opportunities, particularly addressing major investors, increasingly interested in ESG (environmental, social and governance) engagement.
Snam explained the strengths of its governance system, which includes the integration of issues such as business ethics and sustainable development in corporate strategies and which interprets values such as transparency and the fight against corruption as competitive advantages.
