Snam tops Italian ranking for alignment with the UN's sustainable development goals
Among the Italian companies listed on the Milan stock exchange, Snam ranks first in its alignment with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), according to the Italian blue chips observatory published by Lattanzio Monitoring & Evaluation. This recognition reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and integrating into the business.
Officially known as the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development", the SDGs are a set of 17 objectives designed for international development and promoted by the United Nations Organization to identify a worldwide shared path based on the guiding principles of integration, universality , transformation, inclusion and above all, collaboration.
The Lattanzio Monitoring & Evaluation study was conducted by analysing sustainability balance sheets, as well as integrated financial statements and non-financial statements from companies with a presence in one of the four ethical indices (ECPI Euro ESG Equity, Dow Jones Sustainability Index, CDP, ECPI Ethical Euro Equity). Pirelli, Eni and Unicredit are also highly ranked.
