Business ethics: Snam presents its best practices in Vienna
Today Snam presents its experience in the fields of business ethics and transparency at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna.
The event brings together the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the National Anti-Corruption Authority, companies and civil society, and is part of a project designed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with Transparency International (Italian Business Integrity Day. Meetings have already been held in Oslo, Paris (OECD) and Washington DC. The project coincides with the 27th session of the United Nations’ Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
Snam's General Counsel, Marco Reggiani, will focus on Snam’s compliance model and anti-corruption policies. His intervention will focus on the reputational audits that allow to identify any anomalies, through the signing of an Ethical and Integrity Pact by all companies providing goods, works and services to Snam. Since October 2016, Snam has been the only Italian company admitted to the Global Corporate Supporters Forum of Transparency International, which brings together companies that stand out for the integrity of their activities. The event, which will be hosted in the diplomatic center, will be preceded by a seminar held by IACA (International Anti-Corruption Academy) for the students of the academy.
The initiative aims to promote the best practices of corruption prevention organizational models adopted by Italian companies operating abroad, in compliance with obligations arising from domestic legislation and international conventions. The synergies between public institutions, the private sector and civil society are highlighted, in support of an economic and social environment based on transparency, integrity and fair competition.
