Snam: agreement with EGAS for potential cooperation in Egypt’s gas infrastructure

Snam and the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to assess opportunities for cooperation in Egypt’s gas infrastructure sector, which would benefit the security and flexibility of supply of the local market and the country’s role as a regional gas hub.

The signing took place on the margins of the summit between Egypt and the European Union hosted last Monday in Cairo in presence, among others, of EU Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Cañete and Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla.
