SNAM TOPS THE INTEGRATED GOVERNANCE INDEX 2017 RANKING BY ETICANEWS AND TOPLEGAL

Snam is at the top of the Integrated Governance Index 2017 ranking by ETicaNews and TopLegal, which examines sustainability governance in the top 100 Italian listed companies. The top 3 also includes Enel and Generali.
The recognition stems from a constant effort to promote innovative cross-business activities. "Snam has achieved this important result also thanks to three initiatives, that being continuing attention to anti-corruption, also recognized by Transparency International, the launch of Snam Foundation aiming to enhance our presence and favour civil, cultural and economical development of local areas where we operate, and finally thanks to the Board that has approved significant new investments for further combating climate change", Marco Alverà, Snam CEO, commented.
The project is the first observatory on sustainability governance in Italy and Europe, focusing on the level of integration of non-financial variables (ESG) into good corporate governance, which has become more relevant in the light of recent regulatory provisions on transparency and accountability, such as the 2014/95 Directive on reporting requirement for non-financial information.
