M'illumino di libri
A small laboratory, a creative powerhouse of ideas and stage for spectacular readings that will revolutionise our experience of books. All this, and much more, is “M’illumino di libri”, the event that, from 22 January, will be bringing illumination to the Italgas Historical Archives and Museum, promoting a cycle of encounters that focus on the magic of voice and direction, the art of dubbing and narration.
"M'illumino di libri" and Italgas Museum
With "M'illumino di libri", Italgas has chosen to open the doors of its Museum to projects and initiatives that promote reading and books. It has done so in line with the Snam group interpretation of sustainable development. This is the concept of shared value, which consists of making maximum use of the knowledge, experience and assets used by the company in achieving its goals, putting them at the disposal of the collective, the local area and all potential beneficiaries.
"M'illumino di libri" will see the Italgas Museum host laboratories, workshops and events linked to the “Booksound” project, an initiative sponsored by the Letteratura Rinnovabile (Renewable Literature) association and the Marcos y Marcos publishing house, involving some 100 classes from all over Italy in the promotion of reading out loud. It will also provide a stage for other events and performances dedicated to reading and books, for which the programme is still being defined. It all starts on 22 and 23 January with the Booksoundeducational laboratories followed, on 27 January, by the performance by Massimiliano Finnazzer Flory, “Gran serata futurista” (Grand futuristic evening) and on 8 February, with a workshop guided by Daniele Abbado, on stage the following day at the Regio Theatre.
Snam and culture
Promotion of culture is a value of primary importance for a company such as Italgas and for the Snam group. This commitment translates in practical terms into a series of different projects and initiatives in collaboration with local administration, bodies and associations, based on virtuous dialogue with the community.
