Public transportation, Parma aims at methane

TEP buys 10 buses more (plus further optional 20)

TEP continues the course of reducing emissions of its fleet through eliminating buses of up to the Euro 2 standard and their replacement with vehicles of low environmental impact.
The transportation company of Parma has actually purchased 10 city buses of the Euro 6 standard. They are 12 meter long, have 3 doors and are fueled with methane. The company also has an option to buy 20 buses more of this type.
A notice published in the Official Journal of the European Union on Wednesday specifies that in an international tender procedure TEP has awarded the contract to Man Truck & Bus Italia worth 13,233,000 euros (net of VAT).
The procurement includes the full-service maintenance for 14 years.
