Deal with Volkswagen to triple the production volume for the German manufacturer

Hexagon Composites, and namely the business area Hexagon Purus, is substantially increasing its production capacity of tanks for CNG-powered cars to meet the growing demand in Europe. In further detail, the company has signed a deal with its main customer, Volkswagen, to triple the annual production.
"The importance of natural gas and biogas for the environment is increasingly being recognized,” underlines Alfred Walberer, Vice President CNG Light-Duty Vehicles of Hexagon Purus, “ gas mobility is the fastest way to reduce CO2 emissions in the transport sector.”
“We are proud to be a trusted partner of VW,” concludes the manager. He added that “through this joint effort of increasing our production output for tanks, we are contributing to the decarbonization of the transport sector.”
