Activities of study, analysis, evaluation, promotion of environmental quality

ISPRA and ANCI have undersigned a protocol of cooperation for activities of study, analysis, evaluation, promotion of the quality of city and metropolitan environment.
The protocol, described in Turin on Wednesday, has been created as support instrument for quality planning, design and sustainable management by the cities and metropolitan areas, as well as planning of national and local policies on the active involvement of citizens, explained both entities.
In further detail, ISPRA and ANCI specify that the purpose of the protocol is to share information and data available to elaborate together analysis, benchmarking and studies on the issues of city environment.
ISPRA and ANCI point out that the Italian urban areas continue to exceed the pollution limits, but positive signs are reported: between 2008 and 2017 the average annual concentrations of PM10, PM2.5 and NO2 mark a downward trend (-2.4% for PM10 and -2.9% for PM2.5 and NO2) and also the emissions of primary PM10 dropped by 19% between 2005 and 2015, from 45,403 to 36,712 ton.
