Funds to finance six different projects

Economic Development Minister Stefano Patuanelli has signed the decrees authorizing six different agreements for innovation. The entities concerned are the Regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Lombardy and Sicily. The goal – reads a statement – is to “favor the competitiveness of the area and safeguard employment through the investments of companies in research and development projects with a significant technological impact.”

For the creation of innovative products and production processes, total investments of approximately 66 million euros are envisaged, in support of which the Ministry has made available approximately 23 million euros of subsidies.

The initiatives that the National Research Council (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, CNR) evaluated positively have been authorized. The projects concern innovation in the manufacturing processes of complex ships, the development of an integrated and innovative digital platform, the creation of a platform of innovative technologies for minimally invasive treatments in radiotherapy and robotic surgery. Green light also for projects for the application of pyrolytic technology to tire disposal, for the development of a traceability system for products in the food and wine supply chain and, finally, for the creation of an innovative high-performance, low-impact laser photoengraving system of low environmental impact in the segment of packaging production.
