Coordination, scheduling and science communication for design and planning

“Identification and development of coordination, scheduling and science communication actions in the areas of city analysis, urban planning and design, with the aim of promoting and achieving innovation.” This is the content of a framework agreement between the National Urban Planning Institute (Istituto Nazionale di Urbanistica, INU) and the National Research Council (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, CNR) signed on Monday by Presidents Michele Talia and Massimo Inguscio.
The agreement, which has a duration of 4 years, provides for actions to raise awareness and adequately train on the topic of city analysis, urban planning and design, disseminating the knowledge of the best technologies in place and enhancing on the use of innovative technologies Italian soil at the same time, explains a message. Furthermore, actions to enhance and integrate the existing technological equipment across Italy will be promoted, referring directly to the European and international reality.
More specifically, according to the INU-CNR framework agreement, the initiatives will mainly concern “development and first applications of the ‘Urban Intelligence’ project and testing of the ‘ Digital Twin Model’ methodologies and technologies applied to the city.”
