Project conducted by Enea. To be produced with biomaterials obtained from renewable resources
Developing a system of autonomous and biodegradable sensors for monitoring of environmental
parameters inside homes, schools and offices. This is the goals of the Sensible project (autonomous
and biodegradable sensors for environmental monitoring in buildings) that Enea is carrying out as
part of its Proof of Concept program, in partnership with the Promete company.
The sensors – reads a message – will be autonomous, “that is energy self-sufficient, and their use will allow saving the consumed power and a reduction in operating costs.” The devices will be produced with biomaterials obtained from renewable resources, such as gelatin and cellulose.
