Efficiency, the MoED’s decree with the modes of granting contributions to municipalities
Funds for measures for buildings, renewables, lighting and local public transport
The MoED has released the implementation modes for the funds allocated to the municipalities
aimed at energy efficiency and sustainable territorial development projects.
The indications are contained in the managerial decree of September 1, 2020 which assigns non-refundable contributions “in the amount of 19,329.89 euros for each of the 1,940 Italian municipalities with a population of less than 1,000 inhabitants.”
Annex 1 to the decree sets forth which measures give access to the funds. They include energy efficiency of buildings, the improvement of public lighting, installation of renewable energy production plants, storage systems and charging systems for electric vehicles. The funds can be also earmarked for control units detecting emissions into the atmosphere and actions aimed at improving local public transport.
The works must begin by November 15, 2020.
