PSV, strong start of the thermal year of 2020-2021
In October more than 10 bln m3 of gas traded, 2.5 bln m3 physical transactions
Gas trading begins with a strong increase at the PSV (Punto di Scambio Virtuale, Virtual Trading
Point) in the thermal year of 2020-2021. In October, the Snam Rete Gas platform actually reported
volumes of 10,196 million m3, 16.8% more compared to 8,727 of the same month of 2019 and 2.9% more
vs. 9,905 million m3 in September.
Transactions carried out at the PSV amounted to 30,563 in October, down from 31,802 a year earlier but up with respect to 29,071 in September.
Finally, as for the Churn rate (traded volumes/physical volumes), the figures of PSV for the past month indicate a growth to 3.9, with physical volumes of slightly more than 2.5 billion m3.
