Businesses, second IPCEI on microelectronics

March 5, 2021 is the deadline by which companies may express their interest in a second Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) on the strategic value chain of microelectronics.
The extension of the time-limit established for the call published by the MoED aims at companies that have not already responded to the previous call. The expression of interest can be submitted to the MoED by March 5, 2021. This second IPCEI, shared between the EU member states and the Commission, explains a message, “has the aim of encouraging investment projects in Italy with a high innovative content"
The goal “is to develop an industrial production of new technologies or products, in the application areas (vertical markets)” relating especially to connectivity through 5G and IoT, smart mobility, energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, Industry 4.0 and aerospace.
