The tax relief – reads a message from the MoED – is equal to 50% of the investment made in innovative startups (eligible investment up to a maximum of 100,000 euros, for each tax period) and in innovative SMEs (up to a maximum of 300,000 euros, and beyond this limit, the investor can deduct 30% of the excess in each tax period), within the thresholds set by the “de minimis” regime.
The investment, which can be made directly or also indirectly through mutual funds (UCITS), must be continued for at least 3 years. All investments already made during the year 2020 and up to the platform’s launching are eligible. The beneficiary company can apply in the period from March 1 and April 30, 2021.
