MoISM, strategic goals for 2022

“Developing sustainable and resilient infrastructure; increasing safety of infrastructure, mobility, and people”

Developing sustainable and resilient infrastructure, also in light of climate change; increasing the safety of infrastructure, mobility and people; increasing the efficiency and sustainability of the transport system; improvement of the effectiveness of the Ministry’s action and sustainable management of its facilities. These are the four priorities for 2022 that Minister of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility, Enrico Giovannini, indicated in the directive “General guidelines for administrative activity and management for the year 2022,” issued on Monday.
A message explains that for each of the priorities strategic and operational objectives were determined that in turn were assigned to each management center, that is, the departments of the MoSIM (Department for Strategic Planning, Infrastructure Systems, Network Transport, Information and Statistics; Department for Public Works, Housing and Urban Policies, Water Infrastructure and Human and Instrumental Resources; Department for Sustainable Mobility), the Supreme Council of Public Works and the Headquarters of Port Authorities. The directive also defines the detailed action plans, the time-frame for their implementation, the expected results and indicators for their verification, the financial, human and instrumental resources.
“We pursue a vision that puts sustainable development at the center of the policies and actions of public administrations,” commented Minister Giovannini, stressing that the Ministry’s “ vision” “is inspired by the principles of the UN’s Agenda 2030, the European Commission’s new political-strategic approach and the government’s guidelines on ecological and digital transition.
