Horizon Europe, new climate and water calls

Funds of €214 M projects on adaptation and pollution prevention

New funds for research and innovation from Horizon Europe, the EU program that has a total budget of €95.5 billion in the period of 2021-2027. The European Commission has launched five calls for the submission of projects in the areas of climate and water under the relevant “mission area.”
In further detail, a call of €110 M is dedicated to projects for adaptation to climate change through risk assessments and innovative large-scale systemic solutions.
Other four calls, worth €104 M concern water. Projects should be addressed to pollution prevention, ecosystem and biodiversity recovery, blue circular economy and citizen involvement in water issues.
The applications must be submitted by April 12.
