Energy and environment, agreement between CSEA and Italian Finance Police
Exchange of data, news and information. Meetings and courses for staff also planned
Strengthening the intervention of the Italian Finance Police (Guardia di Finanz) in the energy
and environmental field. That’s the goal of a protocol signed on July 29 by GdF Chief of Staff
Francesco Greco and President of the Fund for Energy and Environmental Services (Cassa per i
Servizi Energetici e Ambientali, CSEA), Giandomenico Manzo.
The agreement will also synergistically take into account the scope of the existing collaboration between the GdF and ARERA (Autorità di Regolazione per Energia, Reti e Ambiente, Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and Environment).
The aim of the agreement, a message specifies, is “to prevent and counteract conduct detrimental to public economic and financial interests related to the activities carried out by the CSEA, providing communication flows, in favor of the Finance Police, of data, news, information as well as reports on subjects and/or contexts combining elements indicating risk deserving attention from the point of view of economic-financial security.”
There is also envisaged the possibility of organizing meetings and courses for the benefit of respective personnel, for areas of mutual interest.
The memorandum, the message concludes, “is an instrument of decisive strengthening of the the principles of lawfulness in the market of goods and services, for the protection of citizens, in a segment that is as important as it is strategic, also taking into account the current international scenario.”
