Hydrogen valley, four more regions move forward

Announcements from Lombardy, Calabria, Sardinia and Basilicata

After Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont, Apulia, Sicily, Latium, Umbria and Campania, Lombardy, Sardinia, Calabria and Basilicata have also joined the list of regions that are actively working on calls for green hydrogen production, the so-called Hydrogen Valley. The measure, funded under the NRRP, envisages the establishment of green hydrogen production sites on brownfield sites promoting the use of H2 in industry and transport.
Lombardy and Sardinia have approved a resolution in the Council and will proceed with the publication of a public notice, Calabria has approved and published the notice, and Basilicata has given the go-ahead for a draft of the notice.
Specifically, for Lombardy, the total allocation is €33.5m and the opening of the IT window to upload applications and projects is scheduled from January 30 to February 20.
Sardinia, in turn, has allocated €21 million, while Calabria, through Decree No. 73 of January 5, has made available resources of €24.5 million and set the deadline for the submission of projects by February 10.
Finally, the Basilicata Regional Council approved the public notice draft, which allocates financial resources of €18.5 million. Companies of all sizes, including jointly with each other, up to a maximum number of five entities are eligible for the facilities.
