Hydrogen, Liguria and Friuli launch their call for proposals
€28 million earmarked for green H2 production in brownfields
The number of Italian regions that have launched calls under the NRRP for the production of
green hydrogen on brownfield sites rises to 15. Indeed, Liguria and Friuli have also published
calls under Mission 2 "Green Revolution and Ecological Transition," Component 2 "Renewable Energy,
Hydrogen, Grid and Sustainable Mobility," Investment 3.1, of the NRRP.
The Liguria call for proposals approved by the Regional Council has a budget of 14 million euros and provides for the submission of applications for subsidies by the proposing entities, or by the lead partner in the case of joint projects, from next February 13 until the 24th of the same month.
Liguria's Economic Development and Energy Councillor Andrea Benveduti spoke of "an opportunity that we have taken to try to expand the regional energy mix."
Also at a €14 million allocation is Friuli Venezia Giulia's call for proposals, under which applications from beneficiaries must be submitted by February 24 and funded initiatives must be completed by June 30, 2026.
"The goal is to create a green hydrogen ecosystem that is the startup of the hydrogen valley and will allow us to give an innovative boost to our companies," said Regional Councillor for Production Activities Sergio Emidio Bini.
In addition to those of Liguria and Friuli Venezia Giulia, calls for green hydrogen production on brownfield sites were presented by the regions of Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont, Puglia, Sicily, Lazio, Umbria, Campania, Lombardy, Sardinia, Calabria, Basilicata, Tuscany and Molise.
