Gas trading still buoyant at PSV
Over 12.4 bcm traded in February, 4 bcm of physical volumes
Still a positive figure for gas trading at the PSV (Punto di Scambio Virtuale, Virtual Trading
Point). The platform actually traded 12,453 bcm in February, the second-best result ever for this
month after the 13,058 bcm accounted for in February 2022.
In the first 5 months of the 2022/2023 thermal year, trading at the PSV amounted to 63,341 mcm, compared to 60,938 mcm in the same period of 2021/2022 (+4%).
According to Snam's regular data, transactions concluded at the PSV amounted to 31,690 in February, compared to 30,800 in the same month last year.
Finally, coming to the Churn rate (volumes traded/physical volumes), the PSV put in a value of 3.3 last month, with physical volumes amounting to nearly 4 bcm.
