Snam Rete Gas supports “Puliamo il Mondo"
Snam Rete
Gas will again support “ Puliamo il Mondo? in 2005. This is the largest voluntary initiative in
the world and is being organised in Italy for the twelfth year running by Legambiente, with the
sponsorship of the United Nations Environment Programme.
“Puliamo il Mondo? is an initiative that communicates the necessity and the desire to repossess our own territory by caring for it and that shows the need for the general public to unite in order to protect public areas, in the knowledge that apart from cleaning up, we should learn not to litter in the first place.
“Clean Up the World? has been organised in 121 countries world-wide. Around 35 million volunteers will be involved in the cleaning.
Thanks to this “cleaning campaign? parks, gardens, roads, squares, rivers and beaches in towns and countries all over the world will be freed of refuse and rescued from neglect: in Italy 1,800 municipalities and over 700,000 volunteers have adhered to the project.
