Gagliano-Sparacollo methane gas pipeline put into operation

The Gagliano-Sparacollo gas pipeline in Sicily was put into operation. It has a nominal diameter of 400 mm (16?) and it is 15.9 km long.

The infrastructure, which follows a route in parallel with 2 existing pipelines owned by ENIMED, crosses the mountainous areas of the towns of Gagliano Castelferrato, Regalbuto and Troina, all in the Sicilian province of Enna.

The objective of this pipeline is to connect the gas treatment plant in Gagliano Castelferrato, operated by ENIMED, to the network of gas pipelines owned and operated by Snam Rete Gas.

At the time of writing work on landscape restoration is underway and later, as is normal procedure, replanting and restoration of vegetation will be carried out.
