Snam at the World Gas Conference 2015 in Paris

From 1 to 5 June, Snam will take part in the World Gas Conference 2015, the world’s most important congress in the gas industry and a key event concluding the three year-works of the International Gas Union (IGU). The World Gas Conference is a unique opportunity for natural gas players to share views on the development of the industry with operators from all over the world. Following the previous edition in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, the event returns to Europe, in Paris, where the conference already took place in 1937.

Snam’s participation at the WGC, which will be held at Paris Expo, is a further opportunity to share with stakeholders the company’s international growth which started in 2012 and which now sees the Group involved, among other things, in facilitating gas flows to European markets, within the wider framework of an effective interconnection of energy continental networks. Snam’s booth (Hall 1, booth J62) will host institutional meetings and will allow visitors to better understand the Group's international presence which is being carried out mainly through its foreign affiliates TIGF and TAG.

TIGF, strategically located along the connection route with the Iberian peninsula, will allow the Company to exploit new opportunities for value creation through an increase of integration of the French market and new possible international interconnections. The TAG pipeline, which Snam acquired in 2014, is the most important gas import infrastructure for the Italian domestic market and is a strategic asset for the integration of a European common market, also in the light of its potential use in reverse flow towards Eastern Europe and Southern Germany.

Snam’s participation in the World Gas Conference will be also told through the social accounts of the Group, noteworthy on Youtube, Instagram and Twitter through the event's official hashtag #WGCPARIS2015.
