Luca Dal Fabbro: expertise in sustainability and digital increasingly important for Board of Directors

Sustainability and diversity have become increasingly important topics for boards to embrace as they increase the exchange of ideas, foster creativity and strengthen leadership at an executive level.

The Chairman of Snam, Luca Dal Fabbro, discussed the significance of the values during his speech at the LUISS Business School, in Villa Blanc in Rome, as part of the "Board dynamics and strategic decision making" conference, which was organized in partnership with AICAS sector associations (who represent Italian directors and auditors) and AISCA (secretaries of the board of directors).

In his speech, Dal Fabbro focused on the new areas of expertise that are increasingly required of board members, driven by key trends that are impacting corporate governance such as climate change and the digital revolution. As such, he highlighted that the board induction for Snam’s new Board of Directors will focus on “disruptive trends”, specifically climate change, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

The conference, opened by the director of Luiss Business School, Paolo Boccardelli, was also attended by Marco Reggiani, the General counsel of Snam and president of Aisca, and Paola Boromei, Snam’s EVP of human resources.
