Snam: an employee tested positive to coronavirus

All necessary precautionary measures have been adopted since last weekend in constant contact with the Civil Protection and health authorities and Smart Working has been introduced in 4 regions from Monday 24th until March 8th.

San Donato Milanese, 25 February 2020 - A Snam employee from the San Donato Milanese offices reported to the company today that he has tested positive for the coronavirus/Covid-19.

The colleague, in the office until last Friday, suffered from feverish symptoms over the weekend and was subjected to specific test at the Lecco hospital, where he resides. He is in fair conditions and the company is offering him all the necessary support. As is well known, Snam has already adopted all precautionary measures since last week to guarantee the health and safety of its people, a top priority for the company.

All Snam employees in the Regions of Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont and Veneto - with few exceptions made to ensure the resumption of normal operations - have already been undertaking Smart Working since last Monday and have been requested to do so until next March 8.

Snam has initiated the actions required by the protocols, offering its collaboration to health authorities and putting in place appropriate sanitation measures on its the premises. Since last Friday, Snam has also set up a dedicated working group, in constant contact with the Civil Protection and health authorities.
