“Made in Corvetto”: Fondazione Cariplo, Fondazione Snam and the Municipality of Milan inaugurate the new Community Point

Made in Corvetto

“Made in Corvetto”, the first Community Point created in collaboration with Fondazione Cariplo, Fondazione Snam and the Municipality of Milan as part of the “Lacittàintorno” urban regeneration program, is born. The “Lacittàintorno” project has been launched by Fondazione Cariplo to transform underdeveloped areas into new meeting places as well as cultural and social development hubs, while also promoting new economic activities.

The Corvetto Community Point was inaugurated in the presence of the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala, the President of Fondazione Cariplo Giovanni Fosti and the CEO of Snam and Vice President of Fondazione Snam, Marco Alverà, among others.

“Made in Corvetto”, housed in the spaces of the municipal market in Piazzale Ferrara, will be managed by the Cooperativa Sociale La Strada, which is already active locally, in collaboration with other entities such as the Milano Bicycle Coalition and Terzo Paesaggio. The project uses a “ hybrid market” model which sees the commercial functions related to food (production or transformation, sale, administration) coexist with cultural and aggregative activities as well as other services, helping to improve both the commercial attractiveness of the area and its social cohesion.
