Snam among protagonists of the IGPDecaux campaign "Give way to trust" with the hydrogen challenge
Snam and the hydrogen challenge are among protagonists of the corporate campaign
"Diamo spazio alla fiducia" ("Give way to trust"), conceived by
IGPDecaux, to tell stories of positivity and hope in Italy following the Covid-19
emergency.
This decision comes in line with Snam's commitment to promoting the use of hydrogen as a new
energy carrier to contribute to the fight against climate change. Between 2019 and 2020, the
company was the world's first to use hydrogen in its gas transportation network in Contursi Terme,
in the province of Salerno, which supplied two companies, including a pasta factory. Snam's
hydrogen challenge was recently described in a report published on the front page of the New York
Times at the end of May 2020.
Snam's entire 30,000km-long network is monitored by the dispatch room of San Donato Milanese,
a room that is active for 24 hours a with a video wall of 40 square meters at its centre, which is
the subject immortalized in the photo of the campaign. The dispatch room functions as the brain of
a network that is continually evolving to contribute to the energy transition of Italy and Europe.
The campaign
"Diamo spazio alla fiducia" ("Give way to trust") launched on April 25 and
features various subjects on the systems of the company leader in advertising out of home, is
accompanied by the hashtag
#segnaliditalia.
