SNAM INTRANET: AMONG THE BEST IN THE WORLD ACCORDING TO NIELSEN NORMAN
Snam is the only Italian company to have been awarded a prize by the American digital consultancy Nielsen Norman Group for its corporate intranet, after also winning the Intranet Italia Champions 2020 in recent weeks. The prize was awarded as part of the 'Intranet Design Annual', which recognised the ten best internal platforms at global level for their ability to facilitate remote working, support internal communication flows and simplify access to company services available to employees. "Easy", Snam's intranet, was launched in July 2020 with the aim of being a flexible and customisable platform, capable of integrating the numerous applications used in the company, and at the same time simple to use. Today it is confirmed as an essential tool for ensuring communication and encouraging engagement, representing a virtual space available to all Snam people and capable of responding promptly to everyone's needs.
SNAM AWARDED BY ENVIRONMENTAL FINANCE FOR INNOVATION IN SUSTAINABLE FINANCE
Snam has been awarded the "Bond Awards 2021 - Award for innovation" by the international specialist publication Environmental Finance. The company received this award for the "innovative and forward-looking" framework of its bonds that finance the energy transition. This framework incorporates the decarbonisation objectives announced in Snam's 2020-2024 strategic plan, presented last November. The Environmental Finance jury praised the "excellent combination of uses of proceeds" set out in the framework and its alignment with the company's long-term energy transition objectives. Last year, Snam issued two bonds under the framework, for a total value of €1.1 billion. Sustainable finance is a pillar of Snam's ESG strategy and energy transition activities (biomethane, energy efficiency, hydrogen, sustainable mobility). By 2024, sustainable finance will increase from 40 to 60% of Snam's total financing.
ESG PERCEPTION INDEX: SNAM AMONG THE MOST SUSTAINABLE COMPANIES ON THE WEB
Snam, according to Reputation Science's ESG Perception Index, ranks among the most sustainable Italian companies on the web, coming in 5th place, thanks to effective use of its website and social channels to relaunch its growing commitment to green hydrogen. Reputation Science, Italy's leading company in reputation analysis and management, has launched an observatory on the web presence and communication of 150 of Italy's largest companies (identified by integrating two baskets: companies listed on Piazza Affari and those included in the Mediobanca classification), to assess how much their brands are associated with the values of sustainability. Measuring the phenomenon of perception is fundamental for companies: it is important to be sustainable, but so is knowing how to communicate it. The ESG Perception Index is a metric that was created to study the perception of sustainability of companies through all the digital channels that have become primary in the social ecosystem. The brand is analysed through a multidimensional model on a series of ESG values (such as green, CSR, diversity, inclusion).
SNAM AMONG THE 50 MOST SUSTAINABLE COMPANIES IN THE WORLD ACCORDING TO SEAL AWARDS
Snam is among the fifty most sustainable companies in the world according to the SEAL (Sustainability, Environmental Achievement & Leadership) Business Sustainability Awards 2020. The company was awarded in the SEAL Organizational Impact Award category, which aggregates two global sustainability assessments: the CDP A-List (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) and the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA, now included in S&P Global ESG). This year, in particular, Snam was included in the CDP's "A" list of companies most committed to combating climate change. The objective of the SEAL Awards is to reward the most transparent companies that are most committed to sustainable practices at a global level. The result recognises Snam's commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) dimensions, which are central to its 2020-2024 strategic plan. In terms of the environment, Snam plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040, among the top companies in its sector. The company has also drawn up and published an ESG scorecard on 13 areas with material and quantitative targets by 2023 to report on its performance for the benefit of stakeholders.
SNAM GROWS IN THE BLOOMBERG INDEX ON GENDER EQUALITY AND INCLUSION
For the second consecutive year, Snam is among the companies included at global level in Bloomberg's Gender-Equality Index (GEI). This year's index comprises 380 companies, including 18 from the energy sector. Snam obtained a total score of 71.21%, improving its GEI score by 2.1 percentage points compared with last year, and distinguished itself, in particular, for the "Inclusive Culture" parameter (+15.1%), an award that highlights its commitment to disseminating and promoting a more inclusive corporate culture. The GEI analysed the performance of companies from 44 countries and active in different business sectors, assessing policies and initiatives to support and promote gender equality and the transparency of information provided to the market. The index is based on factors such as the enhancement of female leadership, commitment to reducing gender pay inequality, a culture of inclusion and the proximity of brands to the female population. The result reflects Snam's commitment to promoting gender equality and inclusion.
SNAM PROMOTED BY CDP (FORMER CARBON DISCLOSURE PROJECT) IN THE “A LIST” FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE
Snam is confirmed among the companies recognised at international level by CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) for its commitment to combating climate change. In 2020, the company improved its score in the sustainability index, placing itself on the "Climate Change A List", which groups together the companies with the best performance at global level, a step forward compared to the inclusion on the "A- List" obtained in 2019. In addition to Snam, seven other Italian companies are part of the "A List". The result recognises the company's efforts to reduce emissions and better manage climate risks: in its new strategic plan to 2024, Snam plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040, among the top companies in the energy sector. The updated rankings were announced by CDP, one of the leading non-profit organisations for assessing transparency in the disclosure of information by companies on climate change.

SNAM WINS THE “BEST DIGITAL INNOVATION PROJECT IN PROCUREMENT”
During the last edition of Procurement Forum, IKN Italy, together with a jury of excellence formed by CPOs and experts, awarded Snam as the best company able to have innovated the procurement department through the potential of digital. The award, Best Digital Innovation Project in Procurement, was presented for having recognised Snam's ability to develop an Intelligent Process Automation programme, capable of enhancing the value of people through agile methodology, to bring added value by increasing the effectiveness of decisions by 8% and, thanks to IT capabilities, to avoid the repetition of activities, saving more than 5000 hours per year thanks to robotics.
FORBES-STATISTA: SNAM AMONG THE WORLD'S BEST COMPANIES TO WORK FOR
Snam is one of only two Italian companies among the top 150 companies in the world in which to work. This is what emerges from the international study "Top Employers" carried out by Statista in collaboration with Forbes, which has published the ranking on its website. The ranking is dominated by American tech companies with Alphabet, Microsoft, Red Hat and Apple in the first four positions. Germany's SAP is fifth. Ferrari is the first Italian company in 59th place, while Snam is second in 110th position. The ranking was compiled from the world's 2,000 companies with the best reputation, based on 1.4 million interviews conducted on a global and regional scale. Respondents were asked to rate their company, indicate whether they would recommend it to friends and family and name other companies they like.
Snam top performer for transparency and integrity
According to the annual Integrated Governance Survey carried out by the specialist magazine, EticaNews, Snam is the best Italian company for corporate governance and for the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) targets into corporate strategies. The survey examined major listed and unlisted Italian industrial companies, and found that Snam excelled in its inclusion of ESG issues in its management model and stakeholder disclosure. In 2018, Snam published the thirteenth edition of their Sustainability Report, which included key ESG targets achieved by the company. They also published the first edition of their Report on Climate Change, in line with the Task Force on Climate Related Disclosure (TCFD)’s recommendations. A month ago, Snam launched a committee comprised of its Board of Directors, with the responsibility of proposing and consulting on environmental, social and corporate governance issues at board level.
Future Italia Top 100: Snam was awarded a Gold Class
Snam ranked top in Italy again for its commitment to discussing sustainability strategies on digital platforms, and interacting with stakeholders through social media. The company was actually recognised by Lundquist, who awarded Snam a "Gold Class" position in their “Future Italia Top 100” study. The aim of the research was to analyse companies' ability to communicate a tangible, well-structured and credible commitment to sustainability on social media, by encouraging consumer engagement.
Webranking 2018: Snam among top performers for digital communication in Europe
Snam has confirmed its level of excellence in corporate communications on digital channels at European level. Having achieved third place within the Italian Webranking, as compiled by Comprend in collaboration with Lundquist, the company has also been awarded the same position in within the European equivalent.
With 91.3 points out of 100, Snam ranks for the fifth consecutive year among the best European companies for the transparency of its financial and non-financial information on its website and main social platforms.
Webranking analyzed the 500 largest European companies according to market capitalization and Snam has been in the top 10 of the Italian edition for the last 14 years. This confirms the importance of a transparent, interactive and constant communication with all stakeholders, including through digital channels.
Webranking 2018: Snam comes top of digital communication again
The company has been in the top 10 of the Italian Webranking for the last 14 years. The ranking is curated by Lundquist, in collaboration with the Swedish company Comprend. Snam has been recognised as a leader in digital transparency, both in Italy and in Europe more widely, maintaining its position as number one among companies in the Utilities sector.
Out of the 111 Italian companies, Snam came third with 91.3 points out of 100, confirming its position at the top for the fifth consecutive year. The company also ranked first in the careers and sustainability sections. The company believes that transparent, interactive and constant communication with all its stakeholders is essential, particularly with regards to digital channels.
Snam awarded for transparency and integrity
Snam has been awarded for its continuos commitment to business ethics and transparency by Italy’s leading legal magazine Top Legal.
Snam was awarded Top Legal’s “Legal Deparment of the Year”, “Compliance” category, part of Top Legal Corporate Counsel Awards.
The prestigious award was given to General Counsel Marco Reggiani and his team during a ceremony held last night at Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Milan.
Snam’s transparency and reputation audits, as outlined in the award’s description, have also been recognised as international best practices by Transparency International.
Second place in the NC Awards
Snam steps on the podium for the second time in only two weeks, after its first place in Webranking Italy 2017. Together with Bitmama, the company gained the second place at the NC Awards ( “ Corporate Websites of Listed Companies” class). The jury of the prize, organized by ADC Group, acknowledged the quality of contents posted on snam.it and addressed to multiple stakeholders, driven in their browsing by a well-defined menu. For the second time in a few days, Snam has been awarded as a top-class company in digital communication, confirming its commitment to transparency and dialogue with stakeholders.
Webranking 2017: Snam tops italian digital communication again
Snam is the best company in Italy for corporate and financial communication on digital media. With a record score of 94.2 points out of 100, the company confirms last year's success and remains on the top of the podium of the Webranking. The analysis is curated by Lundquist in collaboration with Comprend. At its sixteenth edition in Italy, Webranking has examined over 110 listed companies in Italy, examining the completeness of information on their respective websites and social networks. Thanks to a thorough research on the expectations of several stakeholders - investors, financial journalists, job seekers and digital managers - the study provides the state of the art of digital communication and tracks the guidelines to achieve greater transparency.

Snam tops also the Corporate Social Responsibility digital communication ranking in Italy, as acknowledged by the CSR Online Awards international research by Lundquist. The result has been achieved thanks to a distinctive digital communication strategy, an accurate use of social media, and a continuous commitment in telling initiatives on social responsibility.
The " Stories from the regions" section has been named as one of the most important elements of Snam’s digital communication. The project is the first observatory on sustainability governance in Italy and Europe, focusing on the level of integration of non-financial variables (ESG) into good corporate governance, which has become more relevant in the light of recent regulatory provisions on transparency and accountability, such as the 2014/95 Directive on reporting requirement for non-financial information.

Comprend ackowledged Snam's best practices in digital communication of Human Resources. In a post published on its blog, Comprends praises the careers section of Snam's website for making available complete and clearly presented information designed to meet stakeholders' needs.
The People area of Snam.it is designed to meet job seekers' needs with in-depth content about values, career paths, remuneration policies and welfare initiatives of the company. Snam wins the European WEBRANKING by COMPREND
Snam won the 20th edition of Webranking by Comprend Europe, proving to be the best company for digital corporate communication among the 500 largest European companies. Totaling a 93.6 score out of 100, Snam beated all previous records in the history of Webranking, as has been the case in the Italian edition of the survey, which saw Snam take the podium last November in Milan.
The survey evaluated the transparency and consistency of digital contents made available to users emphasizing the importance of a long-term strategy aimed at sharing information and a constant commitment to execution.
Snam awarded as "company promoting health" by local health agencies of Milan and Bergamo
Snam has been confirmed, for the third year in a row, in the WHP (Workplace Health Promotion) program promoted by Lombardy Region to foster health-related good practices at the workplace. The acknowledgement of Snam as “ company promoting health” was announced during two ceremonies held by the local health agencies of the Metropolitan City of Milan and Bergamo, which were attended by several companies adhering to the project.
The award ceremony by the local health agency of the Metropolitan City of Milan took place today at the University of Milan in presence of the General Director of the agency, Marco Bosio. This year, Snam’s good practices focused on combating smoking and promoting physical activity.
ET INDEX RESEARCH: Snam is leader in containing GreenHouse Gas emissions
Snam has been awarded as one of the most carbon efficient company in the World’s Oil&Gas Midstream Industry for its engagement in containing greenhouse gas emissions.
According to the research developed by Engaged Tracking (ET) Index Research on the SCIS (Sustainability Industry Classification System) data Scope 1 & 2, that tracks greenhouse gas emissions and disclosure of World’s largest companies, Snam has been named as an Industry Carbon Leader for 2016.

Snam is the best Italian company for corporate and financial digital communication. In the Italian Webranking 2016, provided by Lundquist in collaboration with Comprend, Snam achieved 93.6 out of 100 points. It is the highest score ever in the 15-years-history of Webranking.
The first place rewards Snam’s attention for digital communication that "not only provides detailed information about the company, business, strategy, governance and sustainability, but has been able to create a distinctive communication and goes far beyond the level of transparency of other companies". The web pages are clear, complete and constantly updated. The responsive design of Snam.it , launched few months ago, which makes the website content available from any device, was key to reach the first place. Now in its fifteenth year, the Italian Webranking sees the participation of over 100 of the most important Italian listed companies. In the last decade Snam not only steadily reached top ten, but also achieved a second, a third place and a best improver title between 2014 and 2015.

Snam awarded the Oscar di Bilancio 2014
Snam has been awarded the 2014 edition of the Oscar di Bilancio (Financial Report Award) in the category "Big listed companies". The award, promoted and managed by FERPI, the Italian Public Relations Association, has been accepted by Snam Chairman Lorenzo Bini Smaghi and CEO Carlo Malacarne during an official ceremony held at Borsa Italiana (Italian Stock Exchange). The Oscar di Bilancio, now in its 50th year, examines reporting submitted by the Companies that joined the award, with specific regard to the aspects related to communication, structure and usability of information by the stakeholders. The commissions and the jury, presieded by professor Andrea Sironi, Rector of Bocconi University in Milan, awarded 9 different categories. Snam’s Financial Report, the jury wrote, " clearly exposes different sectors of activity, related risks and economic and financial reporting. Themes are well-defined, with attention to design and style. The Sustainability report is drawn following GRI-G4 guidelines. The Company manages to show its ability to create sustainable value, thanks to interesting insights about the quality of the service, environment, territories and employees".

Snam is on the podium of the Webranking research, which evaluates the best Italian companies for digital corporate communications. The Group achieved second place and won the “best improver�? award in the 2014 edition of the survey, conducted by Comprend in collaboration with Lundquist. This year, Snam scored 86.3 points out of 100; in 2013, with 73.5 points, Snam placed fourth. At the top of the ranking is Eni, with 87 points; Telecom Italia is on third position, with 83.3. This achievement further confirms the effectiveness of Snam’s dialogue with stakeholders, inspired by transparency, precision and accuracy of contents made available through cutting-edge instruments of web 2.0. The improvements in the Webranking, which numbers Snam among the top 10 companies since 2005, stands as a proof of these continuous efforts.
Snam is on the podium of the best companies in online communication of sustainability
Snam is the third best Italian company in online communication of Corporate Social Responsibility. It is the result of the sixth edition of the CSR Online Awards Italy, whose results have been disclosed in a ceremony held yesterday evening at Palazzo Visconti in Milan. In the ranking filed by Lundquist, one of the most reliable consulting firms in online communications, which analyzed the performance in terms of stakeholder engagement and transparent information of the 100 largest Italian companies, Snam has received the third prize in recognition of the Group’s commitment to communicate in a proactive and user-friendly way all its activities related to sustainability and, more generally, to corporate social responsibility: from the engagement of stakeholders in the activities undertaken to the strict policy on safety and prevention, from its best practices to protect the environment to shared value the projects, to the capillary and transparent reporting of its different businesses.

Mob App Award
Italgas was presented with the Mob App Award in the Work Force Management category for its ‘Gas to Go’ application at the 2013 edition of Smau Torino.
Developed in-house by Snam’s IT department and already available on the iPads used by its technicians, ‘Gas to Go’ provides Italgas technicians with a wide range of mobile tools, including:
- list of jobs assigned
- confirmation of the materials needed to carry out the jobs
- digital maps
- job history
- FaceTime to share solutions for specific complex issues
- built-in GPS
- procedures, instructions and company technical regulations
- functions to participate in training courses via e-learning.
‘Gas to Go’ also facilitated the move to paperless operations (saving over 5 tonnes of paper a year and 12,500 kWh of energy required to produce the paper) and the optimisation of transport routes (an average of 10.6 km travelled per day per activity at the start of 2013, down on the 14.9 km per activity average of 2011), which has reduced CO2 emissions and increased efficiency and productivity levels.
Interactive Media Award
The company’s website www.snam.it has been awarded the 2012 Interactive Media Award (IMA) in the Energy category. The IMA, sponsored by the U.S. non-profit organisation, Interactive Media Council, rewards the best sites in the world in their respective categories with the aim of promoting the adoption of standards of excellence.
With an overall score of 477 out of 500, the IMA jury stated that Snam.it had been awarded the IMA because it “has excelled in all areas of the judging criteria and represents a very high standard of planning, execution and overall professionalism�?.
March 2010 and 2011
Snam Rete stock, included in 2009 in the Dow Jones Sustainability World index, was also included in the SAM Silver Class excellence cluster and awarded the title of SAM Sector Moverfor the Gas Distribution sector. This title rewards the company that records the most remarkable improvement with regard to sustainability compared to previous years.
In 2011, Snam Rete Gas was awarded the SAM Bronze Class excellence cluster.
The New Economy Carbon Leadership Awards
The New Economy, an economy magazine and web-magazine, recognised Snam Rete Gas in “The New Economy Carbon Leadership Awards 2010,�? in the Carbon Reporting Italy sector, for excellence in CO2 emissions reporting.
Milano Finanza Company Awards
Snam Rete Gas was recognised with the “Value Creators�? award - a section dedicated to large companies - as part of the Milano Finanza Company Awards 2010.
This is an important acknowledgment of the work carried out by the company which, through the acquisitions of Stogit and Italgas, has become a leading integrated operator in the regulated activities of the Europe gas sector, with a regulated asset base (RAB) of over 20 billion euros.
Oscar di Bilancio
Snam Rete Gas was awarded the Oscar di Bilancio for corporate governance by Ferpi (Federzione Relazioni Pubbliche Italiana).
The official report of the jury noted that: “the company has implemented a corporate governance system consistent with international best practices, with a clear vision of the rights of the company’s stakeholders, well-defined roles and high-quality reporting. In particular, the following are worth noting: the suitable composition of the Board of Directors, the clear definition of responsibilities and the functional organisation of the control system, and the timeliness in adapting to the most current version of the Code of Conduct issued by the Italian Stock Exchange (Borsa Italiana) and the provisions of the Sarbanes Oxley Act�?.
