Guidelines and GRI

The 2021 Sustainability Report is prepared in accordance with the CONSOLIDATED SET OF GRI SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING STANDARDS 2016 (GRI standards) . The report is also in line with the sustainability principles of the International Gas Union.

The GRI is an independent international organisation that promotes the development of the voluntary reporting of economic, environmental and social performance

The IGU is an international non-profit organisation that aims to promote the economic and technological progress of the gas industry
The Report is prepared in accordance with the CONSOLIDATED SET OF GRI SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING STANDARDS 2016 (GRI standards). GRI is an independent international organisation that aims to:
- create, promote and disseminate guidelines for the voluntary reporting of economic, environmental and social performance
- elevate social reporting practices to a level equivalent to those of financial reporting in terms of rigor, verifiability and comparability.
The Report is also in line with the sustainability principles of the International Gas Union (IGU), an international non-profit organisation, founded in 1931, which aims to promote the economic and technological progress of the gas industry.
Since 2006, Snam has prepared the report in accordance with the GRI guidelines and general principles of balance, comparability, accuracy, clarity, timeliness and reliability. The 2021 Sustainability Report’s level of compliance with the GRI standard is "In accordance" - Comprehensive. It is possible to see the GRI content index at the following link:
