Tour of Italy in 80 bookshops
The third edition of the Giro d’Italia in 80 bookshops starts at Tarvisio, where the pipelines carrying Russian gas enter Italy, with the finishing line on the coast of Puglia. The route brings together the Italian world of reading and literature, taking in bookshops, piazzas, libraries and schools. Organized in partnership with Snam, the initiative involves the association Letteratura rinnovabile, along with publishers and cyclists, librarians and readers, cycling enthusiasts and booksellers.
In a 1,200 km route along the peninsula from May to July, the #Giro80 will follow the Adriatic coast, stopping over in various towns and literary locations, before journey’s end in Bari. From Friuli and Veneto to Marche and Abruzzo... the two wheels of literature will pass through many areas in which Snam’s energy infrastructures are present.
Presented at the Turin International Book Fair, the Giro d’Italia in 80 bookshops is not just a tour! This year the event is accompanied by an extensive series of initiatives: from Chi l’ha letto (Who has read it?) – on the trail of 12 literary classics that have mysteriously disappeared, also involving books from the series Sentieri Sostenibili (Sustainable Paths) – to recipes by Simone Rugiati, who will offer a personal interpretation of the culinary traditions of Venice, Ferrara, Ancona and Bari.
