Claudio Farina

Claudio Farina, born in 1975 and in Snam since 2017, is Executive Vice President Digital Transformation & Technology with responsibility for leading the technological roadmap, ICT and digital transformation. He is also Executive Vice President Technology and Industrial Innovation.

Previously, he held the role of Head of the CEO Office, leading cross-functional projects in the operational improvement area, start up and scale up of new business and support to the Chief Executive Officer, and Senior Vice President of Planning and Control BU Asset Italia with planning responsibilities and control over investments and operating costs of Italian assets.

Before joining Snam, he spent over 9 years in Vodafone Italia, where he took on roles including Head of Financial Planning and Analysis and Business Intelligence, and Head of Strategy, responsible for guiding the strategic projects of the CEO, such as the 4G frequencies auction, investments for the reduction of the digital divide, fiber strategy, M&A, and strategic partnerships. Prior, from 2000 to 2008, he held various roles in The Boston Consulting Group, becoming Principal and acquiring multisectoral experience in Infrastructure, Energy, Public Transport, Telecommunications and IT, and with 25 projects, including Strategic Plans, extraordinary finance operations and Infrastructure Development Strategy.

In 1999 he was Researcher on industrial policy issues in support of technological innovation, at the German Institute of Economic Research in Berlin.

He is specialized in Industrial Economy and holds a degree in Economic Policy from the Università Cattolica of Milan. He subsequently earned a postgraduate master's degree in Economics from Bocconi University.

Passionate about the seed funding of start-ups, he is also an alumnus of the Aspen Institute, having been a Junior Fellow from 2008 to 2010.
