Workplace Health Promotion
In 2014, Snam Group adhered to the initiative called Workplace Health Promotion, promoted by Regione Lombardia with the aim of improving the quality of people’s life through implementing a series of good practice guides with scientific support from local health agencies (ASL) of Lombardy. For the next three years, activities and projects carried out by Snam’s HR and HSEQ departments will aim at promoting good habits in six main areas: healthy eating, personal and social well-being, physical activity, road safety and sustainable mobility, measures to reduce tobacco consumption and to discourage alcohol and drug use. The initiative is in line with Snam’s ongoing commitment to a healthy lifestyle in the workplace, in the knowledge that bad habits are easier to abandon with the support of professionals.
HEALTHY EATING
In 2013 and 2014, Snam started various initiatives to promote healthy eating among employees. In particular, fruits and vegetables, low-salt and whole wheat bread have been included in all the workplace canteens’ menus and the so-called “colour code”, a guide to meal composition and choice of nutrients, has been also introduced. In addition to the lunch break, all vending machines have been supplied with fresh fruits and vegetables and low-calorie, low-fat foods. Furthermore, starting from end of 2014, a food pyramid manifesto has been affixed in all coffee break areas to suggest appropriate nutrition in an immediate way.

PERSONAL AND SOCIAL WELL-BEING
Adhering to WHP Program, Snam Group has wished to reiterate its commitment to employees’ health and safety in the workplace, also contributing to extend well-being conditions to private life. This commitment is deeply rooted in the Company’s history and has created a well-structured, always evolving welfare system.
