EIC code - Energy Identification Code

On the current section of the website, Snam Rete Gas makes available the encoding scheme EIC (Energy Identification Code). This scheme, that is functional to the organization and to the implementation of the exchange of standardized electronic data, was developed by ENTSO-E to facilitate trading across borders and to identify efficiently and reliably different objects and parts related to the energy market and its activities.

ENTSO-E, which acts as CIO (Central Issuing Office), and the LIO (Local Issuing Office) are responsible for the registration, issuance and publication of EIC codes within the energy market.

Pubblication of EIC Code

As from 10-03-2016 Snam Rete Gas (SRG) acts as a Local Issuing Office.
